Yukon Government Invests Heavily Into Crime Prevention

The Crime Prevention and Victim Services Trust has opened up funding for non-profit community groups, school councils, municipalities or First Nations governments.

The funding supports community-led projects that work to reduce crime, prevent gender-based violence or address the root causes of criminal behaviour. The Trust also supports projects that provide services or programming for victims of crime.

In 2019 the Crime Prevention and Victim Services Trust awarded a total of $227,829.67 to 10 community-led projects with a focus on crime prevention and services to victims.
