When Will Winnipeg’s Homeless Crisis Be Properly Addressed?

During his campaign, Gillingham promised to address the city’s homeless issue head-on, but we are still waiting to see how his plans will materialize. The previous administration failed the city’s homeless people, and he was a part of that group that shares the blame for its poor implementation of reasonable policies to address the root causes of homelessness.

2023 is just around the corner, and Gillingham will have four years to prove himself as an effective leader, but time is ticking. Bus and homeless shelters are not the answer. He promised to be a bold new leader for the City of Winnipeg, and now all eyes are on him for 2023.
