UK Confirms 3rd Case Of Coronavirus

A further patient has tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases in the UK to 3. The individual did not acquire this in the UK.
The patient is being transferred to a specialist National Health Services (NHS) centre, were robust infection control measures are being used to prevent any possible further spread of the virus. The NHS is well prepared to manage these cases and we are now working quickly to identify any contacts the patient has had.
We are safeguarding the safety of life and health of not only the Chinese people, but also people of the whole world. WHO has spoken highly of the prevention and control measures of Chinese Government and expressed full confidence in China’s capability to beat the virus.
WHO has reiterated that it disapproves of and is even against overreaction to the epidemic, including travel and trade restrictions on China. Mr. Whitty, Britain’s Chief Medical Officer would not say where in the UK the case was located. The two other patients are still being treated at the Royal Victoria Infirmary infectious diseases centre in Newcastle upon Tyne.
