Two More Vaping Deaths Confirmed In New York City

The State Department of Health has affirmed two additional passings in New York due to vaping-related sickness: an adult female in her twenties from New York City and a female in her fifties from Ontario County. While State DOH is proceeding with its examination, they have decided the two passings are vaping-related.

These deaths are tragic — and they are also preventable. We know smoking and nicotine are dangerous, and it’s becoming tragically clearer by the day that vaping is too. Governor Cuomo

State DOH and its Wadsworth Center Laboratory are doing historic work trying to find workable solutions to prevent further deaths by vaping. The government will continue to invest in programs geared towards healthy choices and the elimination of smoking and vaping related illnesses.
