Trump Worried! Assembles All-Star Team Of Ligitators For His Impeachment Trial

President Trump for months has been saying the impeachment trial is a hoax and has dismissed it for being nothing more than a Democratic witch hunt. With the swearing-in of Chief Justice Roberts and the Senate, the embattled president finally took note of the gravity of the moment.

President Donald Trump is bolstering his impeachment legal team by adding experienced high profile lawyers familiar with the impeachment process and constitutional law.

Kenneth Starr, the prosecutor that led President Bill Clinton’s impeachment trial. Alan Dershowitz, the constitutional lawyer, and Robert Ray, Starr’s successor at the Office of Independent Counsel during the Clinton administration.

Rounding out the rest of the president’s legal team will be White House counsel Pat Cipollone and Jay Sekulow, who will speak on behalf of the absent president. Trump also added Jane Raskin and former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi. It is still to be determined what role disgraced fixer Rudy Guliani will play in the impeachment trial.

On the day the president’s trial is set to start, he will be out of the country in Davos Switzerland to meet with other world leaders. It is important to note, Trump has a pattern of leaving the country when he has to face issues surrounding his character.

Trump’s impeachment trial will start on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. Leader McConnell has refused to call any witnesses to be cross-examined which is far from the stance he took when President Clinton was impeached.
