Trudeau self-isolating after testing positive for COVID-19
Over the weekend, Prime Minister Trudeau first confirmed he was in close contact with someone that has tested positive for COVID-19 and was self-isolating. Today he informed Canadians via virtual news conference that he has tested positive for COVID-19 along with two of his children.
“This morning, I tested positive for COVID-19. I’m feeling fine – and I’ll continue to work remotely this week while following public health guidelines. Everyone, please get vaccinated and get boosted.” Said Prime Minister Trudeau
Because the Prime Minister and his family are fully vaccinated, the effects of COVID-19 as of now appear to be asymptomatic. As Canadians continue to do their part in preventing the spread of the virus by getting vaccinated, there are still many Canadians that are using misinformation “Freedom Protest’ to undermine the importance of vaccines.
Canadians remain supportive of their Prime Minister and overwhelming support and get-well wishes continue to pour in for him and his family.
