The Deadly Crisis Of United States Second Amendment

Should this insanity of lack of gun control in the US continue while thousands of innocent lives are taken each year?

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.”-the U.S. Constitution-

That is the exact wording of the second amendment in the U.S. Constitution, which opened up a huge disorder on gun control. The irresponsible use of guns in the name of self-defence has made it easier for them to end up in the hands of the wrong people, like gangsters, the mentally unstable, and white supremacists. Guns in the hands of the wrong people have led to countless amounts of deadly mass school shootings within the United States.

On Halloween weekend, the U.S Department of Justice reported 11 mass shootings across the country, with 12 deaths and 52 injured. Holly Matthews, a 22 years old student, who just got engaged two weeks ago was a victim of one of the shootings during a Halloween house party in the state of Illinois. She was an innocent bystander.

School shootings are an example of senseless gun crimes that happen on a regular basis. It further shows how unreasonable gun laws are in America. Clearly, a person who is willing to kill innocent people is mentally unstable and should not be allowed to own a firearm. At the bare minimum, there should be a psychiatric test in order to buy a gun.

Lives are being lost all in the name of the Second Amendment. A law that does not guarantee people peace and safety should be removed from the constitution. If it wasn’t for the sake of the multi-billion-gun manufacturers and gun lobbyists, gun violence in America would be significantly reduced.
