Team Canada Beats Team USA 3-2, To Win Olympic Gold

Team Canada’s Olympic Team was an offensive juggernaut from the drop of the first puck

Team Canada Vs. Team USA in a gold medal championship game is as expected, and depending on what country you are cheering for, everyone knew national pride was on the line.

Although the world knew both teams would meet in the finals, it was still the game everyone wanted to see. And when it comes to international women’s hockey, Canada and the USA are still the two dominant teams by a wide margin.

Heading into the Beijing Olympics, Team Canada was aware they had assembled a great team which many are now calling one of the greatest of all time. On defence, they stifled the competition allowing only seven total goals against and scoring a staggering thirty-six goals on their opponents.

The defending world hockey champions will return home as Olympic Champions to the jubilation of Canadians. While many Canadians missed the game due to the time zone, millions stayed up to watch Team Canada beat their arch-rivals, Team USA.
