Through a thorough investigation, over 70 individuals involved in the scam were apprehended, many caught red-handed while collecting money from victims’ homes. The overall damage caused by this criminal network amounts to approximately EUR 5 million. However, due to the swift and successful takedown, losses totalling up to EUR 1.4 million were prevented, highlighting the significance of this operation.
