Super Bowl 56 comes down to the final play to win the title
It’s been 22 years since the Rams won a Super Bowl, but just not any team, the greatest show on turf. The Rams that played out of St. Loius, were fast, high flying and filled with future Hall of Famers. Fast forward two decades later, the Rams are now playing out of Los Angeles and playing in their second Super Bowl in three years under head coach Sean McVay.
What was supposed to be a blowout turned into a competitive game against the second-year signal-caller and former number one pick Joe Burrow. With no quit in his DNA and a pedigree of winning, Burrow made precision passes and remained poised while continuously under pressure by a stifling defense filled with pro blowers and future Hall of Famers.
Not to be outdone by the game, the Super Bowl halftime show headlined by legendary super-producer and Hip Hop mogul Dr Dre, lived up to expectation. Seeing that the Super Bowl is being played in Los Angeles, it is only fitting to have Dre accompanied by his all-star cast Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J Blige and Eminem. They performed all the hits to the delight of fans in what is been called the greatest Super Bowl halftime show of all time. With a surprise guest appearance from 50 cents, deaf rappers Warren “Wawa” Snipe and Sean Forbes and Anderson Paak of Silk Sonic.
Of course, what would the Super Bowl be without the commercials? And what would a $7 million commercial be without the biggest stars on the planet and there were many of them. But the true question remains, what commercial will be crowned the winner. Early favourites are Peyton Manning’s Michelob Ultra, Toyota Tundra’s filled with stars named Jones, and of course, GM’s Mike Myers Austin Power’s electric vehicles taking over the world.
The Super Bowl is arguably the most-watched sporting event next to the World Cup Soccer finals and it did not disappoint. The game was a welcomed distraction from the pandemic along with all the issues happening in the world and it was well needed.
