Prince Andrew is now set to stand trial in the United States for Sexual Assualt
The fallout for Prince Andrew continues after the US justice department refused to dismiss the sexual assault case filed against him. The Duke of York is fighting extradition back to America for his role played in the alleged sexual assault of minor Virginia Giuffre.
Giuffre claims the Duke of York took part in her being trafficked by his friends the late billionaire convicted of pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and recently convicted Ghislaine Maxwell. The lawyers for The Duke of York further claim their client would have been covered under a previous settlement between Giuffre and Epstein to include any associates of theirs from being named in any future lawsuits.
In an unexpected statement from Buckingham Palace today, The Duke of York was publically demoted from his role in the Royal family, the military and their charities.
“With The Queen’s approval and agreement, The Duke of York’s military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned to The Queen. The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen.” Statement from Buckingham Palace
It is widely being reported Prince Charles and Prince William had a significant say in how the matter was being handled, however, the final orders were given by the Queen. The Royal family is no stranger to controversies and scandals, and Prince Andrews’ allegations of sexual assault are just another chapter to be added in the book of the Royals.
