Quebec Issues Call For Projects To Fight Against Bullying & Cyberbullying

To date, five calls for projects have been made and have provided financial support for 278 projects, for a total of $9.8 million.

In support of the government’s priority to continue the fight against bullying and cyberbullying, the Minister of Families and Minister responsible for the Outaouais region, Mr. Mathieu Lacombe, today launched the call for projects for the 2022-2023 financial support program Together Against Bullying.

This program aims to improve support for victims, relatives, witnesses and perpetrators of acts of bullying and cyberbullying, as well as to prevent and counter these phenomena. In particular, it provides financial support to non-profit organizations for carrying out specific projects aimed at preventing and countering bullying and cyberbullying.

It should be noted that this is the sixth call for projects that the government is launching under this program. Thanks to a total investment of $9.8 million, 278 projects have seen the light of day to date and have thus made it possible to support hundreds of people of all ages and from various walks of life, everywhere. in Quebec.

The Together Against Bullying financial support program provides that projects can be carried out over a period of 12 to 36 months and that maximum non-recurring financial assistance of $50,000 per year of completion (up to $150,000 $ for a 36-month project) may be granted.

This program is part of the Concerted action plan to prevent and counter bullying and cyberbullying 2020-2025 Commit collectively to a bullying-free society. The 2022-2023 call for projects runs from June 3 to August 15, 2022. The Ministère de la Famille plans to announce the projects that will be funded in December 2022, so that they can begin in January 2023.
