Quebec issues provincial wide stay-at-home order due to COVID-19

Quebec has now become the epicenter for COVID-19 infections
Another day another record-setting amount of COVID-19 cases recorded in Quebec. The Eastern province has recorded it’s another consecutive day of COVID-19 cases surpassing a thousand cases.
Quebec is now in a provincial wide stay at home lockdown order issued by the provinces Health Minister. In a plea online, Health Minister Christian Dubé passionately asked people to stay at home avoid bars, avoid large gatherings and take COVID-19 seriously.
The hospitals in Quebec are now reaching capacity at a staggering pace as cases are filling up emergency rooms and hallways of Quebec hospitals.
Quebec Premier François Legault has reached out to the federal government for additional help with emergency assistance, financial support, and PPE to help contain the outbreak.
The federal government has confirmed additional resources are on its way to Quebec and have offered the full support of the Canadian government to help contain the outbreak.
At the beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak, the Canadian military was deployed throughout various parts of Quebec to assist in nursing homes and help with humanitarian aid. The military has been instrumental in treating the infected and offered additional leadership at ground zero. It is highly likely more members of the Canadian Armed Forces will be deployed to the province to provide further assistance.
Quebec has now become the epicenter for the coronavirus in Canada. If the spread of the virus is not contained or the curb it’s not flattened, the province will likely be in a state of lockdown indefinitely.
