Subsequently, another individual associated with Porter and known to be an NBA bettor placed an $80,000 parlay proposition bet with an online sportsbook, aiming to win $1.1 million by wagering that Porter would underperform in the March 20 game.
Adding to the intrigue of the situation, Porter is the brother of NBA superstar and champion, Michael Porter Jr., who currently plays for the Denver Nuggets. It remains uncertain what opportunities will be available to Porter outside of the NBA, but several professional leagues in countries such as Turkey, Germany, France, Australia, and China could potentially offer him a chance to continue his basketball career, provided they are willing to overlook this indiscretion.
