Major police presence in downtown Winnipeg. The northbound intersection of main and Higgins has been blocked by police cruisers and taped off to main and Euclid.
Around 11:00 pm a police cruiser was observed taking up a failed spike strip laid at the bottom of the Chief Peguis Bridge heading west onto Main street.
Multiple cruisers were also observed heading west on the Chief Peguis Bridge and south on Henderson Highway towards downtown Winnipeg. As of now, no further information has been released by the Winnipeg Police for the heavy police and paramedic presence.
