Nova Scotians Campers Can Start Booking Campsites Early
TDS News – Now is the time to start planning your summer camping adventure as reservations for Nova Scotia’s provincial parks 2021 camping season open April 6, 7 and 8.
“Each year, more than a million visitors enjoy activities like swimming, camping, paddling, nature exploration and hiking at Nova Scotia’s provincial parks and beaches,” said Lands and Forestry Minister Chuck Porter. “We will continue to follow public health guidelines so everyone can enjoy camping in our province.”
Most camping and day-use parks are scheduled to open Victoria Day weekend starting May 21, with others opening in June. All public health guidelines will be followed. A schedule of which campgrounds open their reservations and at what time is posted on the Nova Scotia Provincial Parks website.
A new provincial parks website and upgraded reservation service will make it easier to find and book a campsite this year. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, public health restrictions may change the start time of reservations, park openings and services offered.
National Parks are an important park of summer for many Canadians. They serve as places for gathering, leisure and entertaining. With the closure of many parks due to the Coronavirus, families have less outlets to access and escape the monotony of the Pandemic.
Campers welcome the news and the prospect of returning to normal
