Teacher’s killing was a target act of hate by Muslim Extremist
Eighteen year old Chechen refugee Abdoulakh A. responsible for the gruesome killing of French Teacher Samuel Paty was no stranger to the French Police. Paty was stocked by Abdoulakh on his way home from teaching his regular class for the day. After Abdoulakh’s act of terror, he went on social media to claim responsibility.
Abdoulakh the extremist took offence to the Paty showing his students cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad that are considered by Muslims to be blasphemous, according to a police source.
On 7 January 2015 two brothers, Saïd and Chérif Kouachi, forced their way into the offices of the French satirical weekly newspaper Charlie Hebdo in Paris. Armed with rifles and other weapons, they killed 12 people and injured 11 others. The gunmen identified themselves as belonging to the terrorist group al-Qaeda on the Arabian Peninsula, which took responsibility for the attack.
Charlie Hebdo is a publication that has always courted controversy with satirical attacks on political and religious leaders. It published cartoons of Muhammad in 2012, forcing France to temporarily close embassies and schools in more than 20 countries amid fears of reprisals. Its offices were also firebombed in November 2011 after publishing a caricature of Muhammad on its cover.

Paty had received deaths threats 10 days ago after a debate about the prophet Mohammad according to police. Abdoulakh was later shot and killed by French Police in the suburbs of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine.
France has begun a national day unity as they grieve the loss of one of their own. Although France enjoys the freedom of the press and right to free speech, cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad is one that will cost you your life.
