The Allegations of Sexual Assault took place in 1999
“I always thought his last name was François,” the woman said. “I remember his head being shaved or (he had) really short hair. … I thought he was bald the whole time. I never recognized him with hair.”
Those are the words posted in an online platform for women who are survivors of sexual abuse. The allegations are being made at Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet, for sexually assualting her back in 1999 when he was the manager for rock singer Éric Lapointe.
The Bloc put a statement denying any such allegations ever took place. Blanchet also doubled down, saying if a crime had taken place, she should report it to the police.
Blanchet has always been portrayed as having a squeaky clean image, but holes in his armor are starting to appear. For now, the embattled leader has the full support of his party as gears up to address the allegations of him sexually assaulting a you woman in a Montreal bar in 1999
