Robust mechanisms for holding everyone accountable must be developed. Empowering legal institutions with broader authority, adequate resources, and enhanced investigative and prosecutorial capabilities is critical. Finally, transparency is key to rebuilding trust. Disclosing decision-making processes dispels doubts about bias and fosters confidence in the system’s ability to deliver justice impartially.

International law plays a vital role in global governance, yet its current state undermines its legitimacy. The international community can reclaim its promise of a just and peaceful world by reaffirming sovereign equality, fostering collaboration, empowering legal institutions, and embracing transparency. Only through a commitment to fairness and equal treatment can this global framework fulfill its true potential.
