Police are asking for the public’s help to locate 63-Year-old Sandra McLaughlin
The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with locating Sandra McLaughlin, a 63-year-old woman with dementia, who was abducted early this morning when the vehicle she had been in was stolen.
Sandra McLaughlin is described as being 5’7” tall with a slightly heavier build, long black & white hair and had been wearing a grey hoodie.
The vehicle, a blue 2012 Jeep Patriot with Manitoba licence plate KXR 852, had been temporarily parked at a gas station in the 3600 block of Portage Avenue when a male suspect approached the vehicle and stole it. It has been reported that Sandra McLaughlin was in the rear of the Jeep at the time, and it was last seen westbound on Portage Avenue towards the Perimeter Highway
The suspect is described as being 6’0” tall with dark hair and had been wearing a grey jacket, dark-coloured shorts, a hoodie with white writing, sandals and white gloves.
The Winnipeg Police Service activates a silver alert when a vulnerable adult person is reported as missing.
We are concerned for Sandra McLaughlin’s well-being and are asking anyone with any information regarding her whereabouts to contact 911 or the Winnipeg Police Service’s Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6250.
