$16,000 In Illegal Drugs Seized Following Drug Warrant

A significant amount of illegal drugs, as well as some prohibited weapons were seized following the execution of a drug warrant on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, in Fredericton, New Brunswick. 

Some items seized during the search include:

  • Quantity of drugs believed to be crystal methamphetamine
  • Quantity of drugs believed to be cocaine
  • Fentanyl patches
  • Significant quantities of prescription pills
  • Prohibited weapons
  • Replica firearm
  • Cash

Scott Alexander Morrison, 37, of Geary, N.B. has been charged with several counts related to drug trafficking, as well as weapons offensives and possession of proceeds of crime. He appeared in Fredericton Provincial Court this morning to face those charges. His next scheduled court appearance is on December 6, 2019.

Mr. Morrison was arrested on Wednesday in Oromocto, N.B., by the Fredericton Police Force (FPF) Drug and Organized Crime Unit. Assistance was also provided by the FPF Street Crime Unit and the FPF Emergency Response Team.

The investigation is ongoing.
