Suspect Damien Sanderson has been located deceased
The weekend horrific stabbing spree in Saskatchewan had a breakthrough by police. Early Monday morning, at approximately 11:30 am, the body of suspect Damien Sanderson was found in a grassy area on the James Smith Cree Nation. Early police received tips that two people matching the suspect’s appearance were on their way to Regina driving a black Nissan. However, Sanderson’s body was found near the house police were investigating. R.C.M.P still believes the information to be credible but could not say who they thought the other person was travelling with Sanderson.
Damien Sanderson’s body was found with wounds that do not appear to be self-inflicted. This revelation by the R.C.M.P leaves many unanswered questions. Were his injuries caused by a firearm or a blade? As for now, the R.C.M.P will not release any information until the coroner concludes its autopsy.
“Update for the Dangerous Person Alert issued by the Melfort R.C.M.P. for Saskatchewan R.C.M.P. continues to search for Myles Sanderson, 6 foot one inch and 240 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.” Said R.C.M.P
The police further added that they believed he could be injured and seeking medical attention. The public is still being advised to take extreme caution and call 911 if they see someone with his appearance. Do not approach him as he is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
